| Overflowing skimmer Hello everyone, new to this forum but been reading it for a while, good people.
I have a 34g Red Sea max aquarium up and running now for about 2 and a half months.I recieved a couple of clown fish from a nephew of mine(how could you say no)and noticed one had some white slime on its body, removed carbon filter and turned of protein skimmer and added some Melafix to start the med process. The next day the little guy didnt make,I wasent surprised but my question is how long does it take to turn on the skimmer back on as it keeps overflowing with clear white foam after one treatment of Melafix(also put back carbon filter) Its been 3 days now,any thoughts? |

| Am not familiar with effects of your medication...but sounds to me like you might need a couple back to back good sized water changes. _________ AG "125," AquaC EV 180, 30 gal sump, "SCWD", 80 lbs LR, CoralSeaLife "Moonlite" Hood, PFO 250W HQI Mini-Pendant (SPS HQI 14000k bulb)

| When you turn a skimmer back on it usually takes it 48 hours to stablize. Can you adjust the skimmer back a bit so it doesn't overflow and then in 2 days start to adjust it up again. _________ 125gal Reef/Fish,40gal sump,Reefmania calcium reactor,MH,UVH,Moon,Aquazone plus 100,Auto Topoff,CoraLife 125 skimmer,GHL Profilux computer & special effects lighting.
