Default having problems with octopus rec. 150

I got my new skimmer running last night but I'm not getting any bubbles to produce. When I pull of the air hose (after trying to blow through it to no avail) I tried putting a piece of wire into the hole going into the 90 and it doesn't go through. Do I need to drill this out or is this a mistake from the factory? Also do I need to cut the pipe on the return shorter because I need to have my pump (mag that runs 190 GPH)turned almost all the way down or it just pushes water into the collection cup

I would say thats manufacturing error.

Call Octopus and have them send you a new one.

Default found problem with bubbles

I found the problem with no bubbles (the air fitting wasn't drilled into 90) I drilled it and get lots of bubbles now, but the return tube seems to be too tall and the water level runs right at top of clear tube in collection cup. when i turn on the nw it fill collection cup up with water and overflows out of the holes in the top of cup

You need to move the tube down. Or you might not be getting enough air through the intake. Either way I think you need to call octopus.
