Default Gas Exchange in FO

Good day! I have a 5'x3'x1.5' predator tank (6 7"-groupers) with an Eheim canister and a Jebo venturi skimmer. Is the gas exchange from the skimmer's vortex chamber enough for the fish's O2 needs, or do I have to elevate the Eheim's return pipe above water level for additional surface agitation/gas exchange? I'm worried about stress from too much water turbulence, and of course, salt creep.

i have a similar setup with same filter and skimmer
and have no dramas with oxygen
my tank is 3 foot long though u should be ok id say
my ehiem exit tube is under water too
water agitation will only stress yer coral if yer coral is placed wrong i generally aim my power heads and filter exit pipe along the top of the tank aimed out of the way of the corals they seem to de doing fine

Thanks Jamie! However, I'm currently running this as a FO tank. Will it still be ok?

The o2 level should be fine.....that many groupers with a measley ehiem is asking for trouble. With a tank like that you should have a couple filters that are rated 2x's the size of your tank. Or just do bi-monthly 30% water changes....

Get a dissolved 0'2 test kit.. Thats the best way to know or start up a dedicated 0'2 reactor.
