im in need of a skimmer... i have a 24 gal current aquapod with the enclosed hood. i am looking at this skimmer.. does anyone have any experience with this skimmer? and will it work with the hood? Current USA Fission Nano Skimmer at Big Al's Online

I don't have any experience with this particular skimmer, but when I researched to buy mine, I looked at this and nearly every review said to save your money. Most mention that it is nearly impossible to get dry skimate, and that it produces a lot of micro bubbles. If you would like to read some first hand reviews, check out marine depot

guitarman what did you end up get for a skimmer? im still trying to figure this whole thing out... what does everyone reccomend for a small skimmer thats easy to maintain?

Trust me do not buy that skimmer you are better off with out. You might want to look at Sapphire Nano Skimmers. I have tried the Fission and it is not worth it.

I was told from the Live Fish Store guy if you skimmer isn't making enough bubbles to inject some Hydorogen peroxide into the skimmer like some sort of Ozone and it will make more bubbles no matter how good the skimmer pump works.

IGNORE THAT AHOLE....... Don't get a fussion nano skimmer.. I know from experience..... I paid alot for one when it first came out.. I never could get it to work right....

Cornfacereef, knock it the FU(K OFF. Its Annoying and definatly not the right website to tell a bunch of bogus bull****. I know you really do know something about tanks, but you are just being an ASS and trying to screw it up for ALOT of people. You do realize this is the internet and if someone types "Skimmer doesnt work" and that comment comes up. You Just screwed their tank if they didnt now what an ignorant foolish waste-of-my-and-many-other-people's-time AHOLE you are.
