Gosh, that sounds familiar....hmmmm
Well, I did not break it on purpose!
I like the berlin, don't get me wrong...but the hubby has been looking at bigger tanks for 'someday' and I am planning with the future in mind...
I ordered the AquaC EV 120 from Captive Reefs (he had it in stock...) so I will let you all know how it compares.
It seems to me that you get good skimmate from your other thread... The turbo berlin has the needle wheel pump, right? That may make a difference too. Mine did not have that. _________ http://www.3reef.com/uploads/BirdSig3.jpgI Love My Sig By John Hawkins!!!!!!!!!!!!!

| Re: CRUD! I broke my skimmer!!!!! Hi Birdlady I Just had to say that about dumping the Berlin as you just said the same thing to Da_Colts and I knew you would find the statement familiar
The Berlin turbo uses a 12 blade TurboJet impeller air infusion system. I guess it is the same principal as a needle wheel system but I am not that UP on my skimmer lingo or knowledge so I am only guessing.
There are so many types and brands of skimmers on the market now, It would be very difficult to happen upon a good one without a forum like this to get experienced information on the subject.
So how big of a tank are you thinking about going to? I would like to go to at least a 125 my self ................ John |

| Re: CRUD! I broke my skimmer!!!!! Well, now I have to wait until MONDAY for my skimmer. *I ordered from Darin at Captive Reefs and he sent it right out. *According to UPS tracking, it got to Philly at 5:45 am today. *Did not get on a truck today so it is sitting in the UPS warehouse, 15 minutes from my house, until the next scheduled delivery day!!!AAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!!
