| I wanna say no. All the yrs of cleaning the pumps, I have never seen any coraline deposits inside the pump. Remember that coraline needs light to grow. _________ 9YR OLD 90G 30G w/d Mag18 150G skimmer 692w MH,yel&kole tang,foxface,midas&convict blenny,B&G chromies,Blk/yel fin chromie blackcap,nemo,neon goby,6line; Blastomussa Merleti,Acan ,BUBBLE,Torch,LTA, Goniopora(2), Acropora(2),Brain, Moon, assort zoas, yel& G star polyps, R&G open brain, P&B ricordia, montiporas, cup&candy corals, enias,B/G mush,flower ane(2), cherry red mussa, dusters,cleaning crew |

| Coralline will not harm the skimmer heck you have so much sand and Carbonates to pass it will eventually wear out all impellers and moving parts .. Thats why the rotating water current pumps and all just never work like when people use Check valves they will prevent a flood LOL Nope they won't work as advertised when needed. But the skimmer is fine/ Just always keep new pump impellers and seals on hand all the time..

| Thanks boys!
Gotta get scrapin' ...... this coraline is taking over the tank. Check this out :
I'm going to leave this side alone as it acts like a sun screen on this side of the tank. I have a window on that wall and sunlight peaks through for about 30 mins.

| Deposits will build up on the magnets of impellers. When needed, I filled the impeller cavity of the pump with vinegar and put the impeller back in to soak for an hour. After that, I would wipe the deposits off and it was like new. |
