I have a coralife skimmer 125 gallon on my 72 gallon tank.

Been set up about a month and has worked great with very little bubbles and pulls all kinds of yuck out of the water.

All of a sudden it starts pouring massive amounts of micro bubbles in the water, Nothing that I can see has changed in the skimmer it went from being normal 1 minute to a bubble factory in the next

any ideas where to begin? I have not moded it since I have not had any issues this far

Check the air inlet venturi, sometimes when mine would clog up with salt it would cause that. This happens on lots of skimmers, my RS80 does it also, its just a friendly reminder to clean the inlet.

And clean the needle wheel, perhaps junk clogging the teeth. Oh and check your water chemistry. Could be something has changed with your parameters. i.e. ph, calcium, mag, etc. I have noticed my water will foam more under some circumstances. I start checking if my ca is low.

Find where the airline goes into the pump, thats where you will find the salt clogging up the line.

I just got one of these a 65 gal model and it bubbles like crazy I've adjusted it and gotten less but I'm sure it still needs to break in. it's bothersome though with so many bubbles.

changed out the tubes from the pump to the canister from long to short which cut back on the amount of bubbles greatly!
