alright, thanks to hitman, my impeller will be in in a couple of days (it sucks that they didn't offer next day delivery, but i think i can manage)... i just hope it helps things get quieter... now if only i could decide if i want to put in the old one until the new gets here, or just wait... guess i'll go set it back up and see if i can tolerate it until bedtime...

well guys, if it don't work break it! i just finished setting mine back up (thinking at least i would have SOMETHING to skim)... and guess what... its just as quiet as my maxijets! all i hear is the water overflowing in the bubble diffuser and running down into the tank... on top of that, its way more easier to adjust than it was before! before, i had the thing all the way open, and it still filled the cup within a couple of minutes... now i can actually turn the dial to adjust the bubble level in the cone! the part that i broke was one of the arms on the impeller... but yeah... no rattling, no exsessive humming to keep me awake at night

hehehe... i acted too fast... i ordered the part, fixed my own, and today, i got 2 emails from ESU... the impeller got to the warehouse, and is now on its way to my house, as of today... Also, a whole new pump is on the way to my house as of today... so, i've got the impeller that i've bought, the free impeller, my old pump/impeller (which now works), and the new pump/impeller! so yeah.. anybody need to buy something? lol

well, i got in my impeller from ESU yesterday, put it in, and now my skimmer is SO much quieter! i'm glad i didn't give up and waste the money on a whole new skimmer... oh, and i officially hate Sea Corals LLC... i ordered the part, paid for the priority mail (2-4 days), the next day, they sent me an email saying its on back order for 1 or 2 weeks.... i replied asking if i could get a refund or some sort of credit to the store, and now they won't reply back... and this was several days ago, so i'm not too happy at all right now
