| Re: Choices on skimmers??? I have the aquac ev120 , and I really like it. It is quite, easy to maintain, and I dump it right into my fuge, no microbubbles
Like I said in my newly posted review...the riser tube is a bit difficult to clean, there is a small lip around the top edge that wants to hang on to the crud a little bit (like a 1-2mm edge) but it is not really too bad in that respect. That is the only negative comment I have! _________ I Love My Sig By John Hawkins!!!!!!!!!!!!!

| Re: Choices on skimmers??? vamp75,
You only gave the G3 a week to break in. I suspect any skimmer that you purchase will have some microbubble issues for at least a few weeks.

| Re: Choices on skimmers??? Microbubbles, Yes. 2 days ago I came home from work and my ENTIRE tank was covered in 1/4" bubbles. That's a little rediculous don't you think? |

| Re: Choices on skimmers??? I can see how it might be frustrating, but every skimmer is going to have a breakin period and during that period you are going to get microbubbles. Just trying to be logical, I'm not mocking your decision to go with another skimmer. |

| Re: Choices on skimmers??? skennelly
Trust me I've been doing the logical. From mods to, bioballs, filter pads, micron bags and even a pair of black nylons over the main returns in my tank. Anything I can think of to break them up. I'm waiting to next week Wednesday. That will be 2-1/2 weeks and if things haven't changed I'm done. |
