Default Bak Pak overflowing

Today by the grace of God I was home when by skimmer decided to overfolw. I pulled the plug before it did too much but don't know why the hell this happened, any one have any ideas. It overflowed from the actual skimmer not the cup, basically it overflowed out of the main unit.

Sounds like either the sponge thats in the 90 is clogged and if you don't have that sponge in there, sounds like an air bubble got trapped inside the 90. Both have made mine overflow.

Hey aic007, Wow! We had the same exact thing happen this morning. Got the plug pulled just as the bac-pac skimmer was about to overflow. The water level went down. Plugged it back in and all is fine. Not an easy feeling though leaving it unattended. I was thinking it might me an air bubble causing it. It seems the bac-pac causes lots of micro bubbles back into the tank. Anyone else have this problem? We are using the maxi-jet 1200 on the skimmer.
Thanks Scott

So far it hasn't happened again, but definately lots of micro bubbles in the body of the skimmer. I know what you mean about leaving it un attended since I work 12hr shifts. waiting to come home with my bedroom flooded. I think I might put it on a timer just as a precaution. Any other ideas are welcome.
