Default AquaC Remora Skimmer

Has anyone that has an AquaC Remora Skimmer ever went to remove the
access screw for the spray injector and had any trouble ??

I tried for the first time to remove this screw ( with a wide tipped screw driver ) and the screw moved about an 1/8th of a turn counterclockwise and then the groove in the screw head just rolled/distorted. Now it looks like I'll never get it out...
Its a 8-month old skimmer and this was the first time I'd tried to remove this access screw. I just email AquaC Inc. asking for help.
Just wanted to hear if others has experienced this problem.
( IT APPEARS TO ME THAT THE SCREW IS MADE WITH TOO SOFT OF MATERIAL)

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.....

Aqua C will send you new screws for free. I had the same trouble and called them. 5 days later I received 2 new screws in the mail at no charge. You may have to drill the old screw out or use an ice pick or something similar. Buy some silicone lube or teflon lube when you put the new screw in so it doesnt get stuck again. You should also remove the screw every 3-4 months when you clean out the skimmer and injection port.

I had the same exact problem with my skimmer when I tried to remove the screw for cleaning after 9 months (a bit late, i know). I've yet to contact AquaC about this issue, but I've emailed them with random questions before and always received prompt and helpful replies. Let us know how things work out for you!

The injection spray nozzle that creates the bubbles. The screw is there so you can clean the nozzle with the wire brush. I recommend you remove and replace the screw when you first set the skimmer up just to loosen the screw up so it doesnt get stuckl later on.
