| Aqua C vs. ASM? OK y'all I am thinking about building a new system, and one of the my most important upgrades will be a new skimmer.
I am going with a all glass bow front with a sump for equipment and separate refuge about 110gal total.
I think I have narrowed it down to either a Aqua C ev-180/240 or ASM G3/G4.(still have to decide on how much overkill I can afford .
I have also considered MRC but have heard cons on noise and clogging of the Beckett. OPINIONS PLEASE!

| options options. i currently am running an Aqua C and it has been flawless. the amount of gunk this thing pulls out of my water is ridiculous. i think this would be the choice if the price is right and such. good luck

| How about the Tunze??? I love the one I added now!
I did the 9010 - very easy to get up and running.. very minimal microbubbles return.. and a nice and large collection cup.

| Twice a week?? Sounds like you need a better skimmer. Your skimmer should be making a full cup a day. I run the ASM and it performs flawless. Full cup everyday, and its really nasty, smelly skim. I cant tell you how many times ive almost lost it while cleaning the cup. Remember its a copy of the best, and it performs just like it.

| Thats correct. My ASM G3, is wide open. The tube is all the way down so the foam starts below the neck in the skimmer body, and i get a full cup of black smelly skim every day. Its really nasty stuff. I wanna vomit every time i clean the cup. The best skimmer ive ever seen or used and ive been in the hobby a real long time. |

| Thanks for all the input everyone.
I will start posting more often just for the sheer comedy
I guess this is what I should expect when debating two great skimmers. Maybe I will just leave it up to the e-bay gods. |
