BTW, I like DIY. I built my sump and a lot of other stuff over the years. I enjoy it and don't freak if something doesn't work. Take my recommendations with a grain of salt and adjust to what you are comfortable doing.

300 Reef; 325LR, 1/2" sand bed in tank, 3" sand bed in 215 gal sump/refugium and Berliner PowerPro SS twin becket skimmer. 210 Reef; with 225 lbs of LR, 300 lb DSB, Large W/D and Jebo 520 skimmer modified to accept a becket. 90 RR FOWLR; tied into the 300's sump with a closed loop for extra circulation. 55 hospital.

Thanks Blade Runner. I am already diying my sump. Everything is being setup in the basement under the main tank so nothing has to look pretty. When I get the skimmer I might ask how you turned it into a Becket. Karma to you.

Throwin' that cpr on ebay at all??? I have a 75 and use a prism delux but want something better... have heard good things about the octopus though

CPR and Eheim canister will be going on ebay in about two weeks or so. I got my coralife skimmer and just waiting for the wave2k and time to install everything.

Since 02-04, 125 gal with 150 lbs of live rock, 100 lbs of live sand, 2-175 wattt MH, 4-65 watt acintic compacts, Coralife skimmer, 20 gal sump/refugium, 25 watt UV, Fish 1 Royal Tang, 2- Hawiian Tangs, 1-Flame Angel, 1-Emperor Angel, 2-Watchman Gobies, 1-Marron Clown, 1-Percula Clown , 1-Manderan goby, 1-6 line wrass, 6 stars, 1- sand siffting , 1-royal gramma. Corals 1-bubble coral, 3-bubble anemone (was one it split), White Xenia, button polyps, mushrooms, zoos.
