Default seatest and fastest test kits

i use red sea for my ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate but i use seatest for my calcium and fastest for my alk. I've heard that the seatest calcium aren't that accurate. My cal never goes above 300 but i add kalk and turbo cal every day. Somebody else said in one of my threads that he got like 330 from his seatest but then at this lfs he got like 500. does anybody have this trouble.

I use the FasTest for my Nitrates and it seems to agree with my Salifert Nitrate test. I don't have as much confidence in the Ca kit though, that was me that had the consistant 330 reading.

Yes, I am quite sure. I was in the position of adding Kent Liquid Calcium and dosing with kalk on a daily basis only to get the same result.

Did you get a magnesium test kit yet? I have been having trouble getting my Alk to stay up....got Mag test kit and it was way low. I have finally gotten that up to 1400 and my Alk is now staying up. Working on the Calcium now....
They are all related....

Thanks birdlady, I made a copy of the link. Do you use the whole recipe that he reccomends or just the epsom salts part of it?
