Default Red Sea Prism Upgrade Kit

I have a Red Sea Prism Protein Skimmer and i wanted to know if anybody had used the Upgrade Kit on theres and could tell me how it works. Does it make that much of a difference. You know it comes with a surface skimmer and a media chamber.

I have the dlx from day 1, the thing i like about it is that you can change the carbon easy, it,s a small chamber but i think a small amt & change often works better,
