| jebo 2003 skimmer hello everyone,
I'm thinking about getting a jebo 2003 protein skimmer for a 75 gallon saltwater tank (I will get corals too). Does anyone have any experience with them and can tell me, if they work well?
Or can anybody give me another recomandation for a good and affordable skimmer?
thanks
Yvonne

| Re: jebo 2003 skimmer I use a Jebo 2003 skimmer on my 55 gal and it works pretty darned well. Initial adjustment is a bit of a pain, but once it's 'broken in', it does it's job.
The only real problem I've had with it was caused by a turbo snail in the outlet. Lost a couple hours of sleep trying to figure out why the cup kept overflowing.
And it cost 10x less than a remora pro (sorry captive reefs)

| Re: jebo 2003 skimmer well, for that price I might just get one and see if it does it's job. If I'm not happy with it i can still get another one and sell that one to some idiot...
just kidding |

| Re: jebo 2003 skimmer I have a Jebo 2003 skimmer, honestly I don't like it. It works for a while but ANY water hieght fluctuations would throw it out of whack and either flood the collection cup or the foam wouldn't rise high enough. I got sick of fiddling with it and bought a Remora Pro. Honestly a good skimmer is worth the money and I couldn't be more pleased with the Aqua-C. I would recommend getting one. I bought the Jebo because I am on a shoe string budget, but I feel it was practically money wasted looking back. A skimmer is definately not something to skimp on.

Well, as time has gone by, I have to agree. I got tired of ghe Jebo and wanted something with a bit more punch. I got a LifeReef SV2-24 and love it! |
