Blue 5mm - 5900mcd
it gives off 470 nm light.nearly the same as the moon and the same leds that are being sold it aquarium lamps.

Also your dogs collar is probably like 50000 volts but very very low amperage..wont kill you but will wake you up real quick.. | |

I've tinkered with my own, but haven't found a good casing for the things yet. A good site for those interested is http://www.kaotica.com/frag/diy/moonlight/
He has a great link to an LED source as well as specs on resistors etc...

hanks for the link ,good info.but leds still cheaper at the site i posted..
and i also dont see the need for a resistor for every led on the strip.
and if you go for a transformer that is closer to 1 amp you will be able to run more light per strip. | |
