Default Looking to buy a Calcium Reactor

Hello PA,
I am looking into buying a calcium reactor. I was going to build one but I noticed you guys carry the Coralife Calcium Reactor. I own one of the Coralife Skimmer and really like it so I am think of getting one of the reactors. I have not decided if I want the 500G or 250G model. My tank is only 75G but will some day be packed wall to wall with SPS. I have some questions though. How much media should I order for either model and what brand of media should I use?

Heard anything good or bad on these. The reactor seem to be a pretty new item?

Default Re: Looking to buy a Calcium Reactor

HI,

These are super new, i'm not sure if we have any sold any yet. They seem pretty nice for an import. It's not heavy duty acrylic like PM and GEO, but it's decent. It's real simular to the quality of there skimmers. The design seems pretty good.

I would be guessing, but I imagine it holds about 10 pounds of media. I would recommend the C-arm for media or the Schuran or Schuran simular media we have. C-arm has been around the longest, so I know that should work well.

Thanks

jason
