wierd creature found on coral/live rock

    i purchased some live rock with coral (marbeled mushrooms) on it today.. and we noticed a orange worm/centipeed thing come out from underneath one of the mushrooms.. its about just under and inch in length.. we have no idea what it is and wether or not its harmful or if its okay not to get rid of.. reply asap thankyou

    Welcome to 3reef pinkie! Without a pic it's hard to say. I'm guessing it's a common bristleworm. Google it and check through "images". Some say they are bad. I consider them beneficial.

    i am a little worried about the bristle worms...i have a ton of small ones, but recently saw a BIG one! why are they beneficial? I feel like they are everywhere inside my LR. I dont have any fish yet....tank was set up on aug. 26th. The LR I was able to get was in a tank previously...
