What size tank for these guys?

My husband is into the strange and unusual when it comes to his FO tank. Currently he has a 75g that has a volitan, SF eel, longhorn cow, watchman and a couple urchins. We are going to be upgrading the size for his buddies but I keep finding conflicting info on what size tank. I have read 100 to 180 on Moo (that's his cow). We were wanting something more like a 110 or a 125. Also, how long before Moo gets to big for this tank? 1 year or less ? Good thing I can restarin myself with my 55g reef although I plan on taking his 75 when he gets done

I don't see a problem with what you have now being in the 75 But a 125 is a nice tank

I had a longhorned cowfish that got to around 6-7 inches incredibly fast. Maybe 14 months or so? It could eat two whole raw shrimp itself at feeding time.

The bigger the tank the better for many reasons not limited to less problems resulting from human error, or dillution of water parameter chemistry and better environment for fishes etc. as they have more room-many fish are territiorial in nature so affording them more room will only help in their health and stress reduced life in your tank.

My v.lion loved to eat and grew fast. As far as tank size I would get the biggest tank you can get. Your fish can live in a 75 and a 120 but they have no room to really move around.I would try for a tank that is atleast 24" wide so they can turn around without always bumping the sides or have any problems.

Maybe look at one of these:
155 bowfront ---- 72x24x24
180 long -------- 72x24x24
210 gal --------- 72x24x29
220 gal ---------- 72x24x30
265 gal ---------- 84x24x30

Look at this way, you could live in a closet but you wouldnt have much room to move without bumping the walls and than add a few buddies. But this is just my 2 cents, it may or may not help. Good luck!!!!
