Water Flow in JBJ 6g Nano

I am brand new to the hobby as of Christmas. I got a 6 gallon JBJ Nano and set it up with Lave Caribbean sand, live rock, a heater in the filter, and just last night added my first inhabitant, a Percula Clown.

Without anything in the tank, the water flow seemed ok, but once I added the Clown fish it seems he is constantly working to stay in place.

As a former freshwater enthusiast for 10+ years freshwater fish do sometimes just rest and generally the water flow requirements are not the same and allow for that to happen. I am concerned the water is flowing too hard.

Is there any way to judge it?

Some clowns like to stay in the water flow... I wouldnt worry about it. If you have enough LR in there he will be able to find a spot with less flow to rest up.

All I have to say is "Nanos are FUN!" You can mod the hell out of them. Probably should have said this before you added fish. But, I've seen some great mods in 12Gs with SCWDs, refugiums, hell all sorts of things. If you are worried about flow, add a hydor to rotate the flow. These work and look great in 12G+ nanos. Not sure if it's too big for a 6G, but if it works it will be real nice.

I would be very interested in a refugium for the tank. Do you have any links that discuss one for a nano?
