Question water change w/ sump/fuge??

I know that water changes are suggested every 2-4 weeks and about 25% a month, right?? When you have the sump/fuge which increases the total volume, I would imagine you change 25% of the total volume, not just the display tank volume.

Is this a correct assumption?

yes, I understand it to be 20-25% of total water volume

If you feel you must then I'd stay around 10% of the total tank volume every month or so better to do smaller changes more often then larger ones seldom . It will tweak the animals out
