| It should be fine if, along with heating and aeration, the water has been in a well covered container. |

| I keep water in a covered 22 gallon plastic can with a powerhead and heater in it for more than a couple of weeks. Maybe even close to a month. No probs!
As long as the water has continous movement you shouldn't have a problem. |

| If the amount of water is small, then an airstone should be fine. If you're storing 10 or more gallons, I would want keep the water moving with a powerhead. |

| The water MUST be in a sealed container in order for it to be good as water collects stuff from the air. Basically contaminated!!!!!!!if not covered tightly! _________ 125gal.w/Mag9.5 return(dual megaflow)>Mag7 pump Aqua Cev180skimmer.Wave2k Hamilton Reefstar(2)250watthqi(mh)pend.a Yellow, Naso Tang Red Lip Blenny Percula Clown Demoiselles Niger Trigger F. | It should be fine as long as it was aerated and covered. Heating it isn't necessary though. |

Just got back from Lowes and bought another 18 gallon with a lid. I will use the other one for the kids toys. Never thought about contamination from the air.
