Default Very newbie question

When you guys talk about "skimmers" do you mean like nets that you use to pull things out of the water with? or is it something differnt? lol i really feel like a noob asking this question

Hi,
Hey, we are all learning stuff and have questions.
Usually we are talking about protein skimmers. They are a unit that creates fine bubbles in a cylindrical tube which extracts protein from your water and thereby clarifies your water. Just google skimmers and you will see.
