| Its not neomeris, neomeris is calcerous, that looks like some kind macro algae, the small ones look like halimeda starting but its hard to tell from the pic. The tall piece looks like it might be a type caulapera maybe. |

| Cant really see from the picture, though it looks like some kind of macroalgae, which is a good algae to have, however depending on your inverts and fish, it may not be around to long as it will be consumed by herbivorous livestock.
If you have a refugium, maybe you would like to transplant it in their to grow it and benefit your tank on a large scale! _________ 125gal.w/Mag9.5 return(dual megaflow)>Mag7 pump Aqua Cev180skimmer.Wave2k Hamilton Reefstar(2)250watthqi(mh)pend.a Yellow, Naso Tang Red Lip Blenny Percula Clown Demoiselles Niger Trigger F. | I cleaned the glass lastnight and was able to get a better shot, also the three little ones opened up today. So hopefully that helps. |

| Halimeda (money plant)
It's calcaerous and absorbs Calcium and alkalinity (as well as the normal nitrates and phosphates).
It's one of the nicer looking macroalgaes IMO. Don't let the population get out of hand. A little is fine. A lot is NOT.

| As inwall75 alerted to, it is Halimeda! It is a macroalgae which if not kept up with will grow and spread rather quickly depleting the calcium level in your tank much the same way as coralline algae does. You will have to check your calcium levels as it grows to make sure you don't have a problem with your calcium and alkalinity levels. If your calcium level is low, chances are your alkalinity level will be high and vice versa!! |

| I disagree with the calcium depletion.
I went out of town before and came back and the halimeda had taken over my tank, and the calcium level was fine. I had a filter clog up and they fed off the nitrates or something else. I had some super nice ones that came out of that, that were 10"s tall with about 10-15 branches. Sold them all to the LFS for $50. I upgraded my lighting, and upgraded my filtration and now its all gone and my calcium level has not changed, nor has my calcium dosing. |
