| Tester Kit (Fish or Reef) What tester kit should I use (fish or reef)? Tank only has LS-LR and been cycling 1week tomorrow |

| Anything that measures nitrates, nitrites, and pH. Since your cycling something to measure ammonia would be nice, but if your measuring nitrites and nitrates then it's not necessary. I know a lot of people don't like them, but for starting purposes you can use the dip stick tests. Just make sure that any other testing kits you get are good ones. (Salifert is one of the best, but they're pricey)

| during cycling all you really need is NH3,4 but Ca,dKH,Mg would also help. if your NH3,4 goes over 1ppm i suggest a 20% water change

| Tester Kit Got my test kit today (OceanMaster)
Ammonia: 0.0
PH: 7.8
Nitrate: 10
Alkalinity: 3 (mEq/L)
Nitrite: here it made no color change at all (looks clear) so should i test again or does it mean 0
Salinity: 1.020
Temp: 78.8
Calcium: 400mg/L(ppm)
so does this mean i'm ready for some fish

| dont worry about the nitrites. what is your Ca, Mg, salinity, temp? |

| Tester Kit Ok, back to the store i go lol. Thanks. With my nitrite not changing color on the test kit, staying clear is that a 0 reading? |
