Default Test Kits

For my fish only tank I've used the Fastest kits. Now that I am starting the reef, I am looking at what else is out there. Anyone have experience with the Redsea fishpharm test kits ? Are their test kits any good ?Care tro recommend any other quality options.

Red sea test kits are pretty bad. Easy to usde but not very acurate. Try a Salifert or Seachem. You will get god results fro,m thee kits.

Ditto.
I used to use Red Sea, now I use SeaChem - a good value for the money.
Most will say Salifert is the best, but it's also the most expensive.

Default Re: Test Kits

I use Salifert and have been pleased with it. I also will occasionally use the fast test strips inbetween water changes to make sure nothing has suddenly gone out of wack. If something is off then I follow up with Salifert for more accurate testing.

http://www.3reef.com/uploads/reefmanMC.jpg&&Right now I'm in the middle of a conversion from reef to Discus/ planted aquarium. Hair algae beat me down. Maybe a nano in the future. Everything screwed up so I'm converting to FOWLR. Wish me luck.
