julian solos is moving on up!

Default tank set up, may sell corals

I've had my tank set up for about two weeks now, and here'e how it's been going:

-added a live sand bed that is live sand at the bottom with a layer of ground coral that came with live seawater over top
-added 10 snails to eat the algae blooms, they're keeping up
-dripping kalkwasser every few days to replace evaporated water (the guy i bought the setup from had a drip bucket with a valve for this purpose)
-changing out 5 gallons every week (there are no fish yet, so I think this should be enough for now)

buying a system that was established for 2+ years has been a boon in terms of the live rock. I've been noticing the copepod population increasing rapidly to the point where you can't look at any one spot on the live rock for more than 10 seconds without seeing one. some are a centimeter long and leap up against the glass to eat algae. this may be a good tank for a mandarinfish.

the waving hand corals that came with the rock have been doing ok, some of them are even growing new little hands and there are two small patches of them growing on the live rock.

there are also tube anemones growing in there which I will have to get rid of.

I want to make more space in there for corals besides waving hand corals and I'm thinking about calling some fish stores to see if they would want to buy any.

How does one go about doing this? I was at a fish store tonight selling xenias (similar to my waving hands) about 5 times smaller than some of mine for $60. I'd like to have a ballpark figure of what I should want for them before I even ask.

Sorry for the lack of pictures, I'll upload those tomorrow.
