The diet of the Canary Fang Blenny should consist of finely chopped crustacean flesh, mysid and vitamin-enriched brine shrimp, as well as frozen herbivore preparations.

and they are considered venomous

I got some frozen Brine shrimp and it ate a few of those. It wasn't eating the flake food like my Clown. I guess I won't let the Canary eat from my hand like my Clownfish

I dont mean to sound like a jerk or anything and I am still in the planning stages with my tank and I dont know everything about everything but if you dont know what a fish eats why would you ever buy one. Without even researching about them first? Again I dont mean to be a jerk!

Karma for that!!! The first thing I ask is, "Will it fight with what's already in my tank?" and the second thing I ask is, "What do you feed it here?" If every goby in the world eats algae and there's one at the LFS that doesn't eat algae, I WANT TO KNOW THAT so I don't buy it to control my algae! I also want to know that SOMEONE in that store has seen it eat and knows what it eats. If they can't tell me that, I'm not buying their fish! There is one guy at my closest LFS that knows every fish they have, what it eats, when it eats, how aggressive it is, and how long it's been there. He is the only person in that store I trust to give me advice on stocking my tank and feeding my fish.

I know I'm just a newbie...stepping off my soapbox...

Thanks for the Karma ssgheislerswife.. god knows i need it... I usually wouldnt comment on someones thread but I rescue dogs occasionally and I see it all the time,, someone gets a dog, for example a great dane which are the kinds of dogs that ive rescued, and they dont realize the size that these dogs reach and it ends up in a shelter, and BTW I am a Park Ranger on the upper Texas coast and I see the things that ppl throw out everyday and I cant believe someone would buy something and then just throw it out,, sorry for the tree hugger speach but I am unhappy when I see someone do something that they arent prepared to take care of or use.. just my rambling and again thanks for the Karma...
