| Stocking Questions / Suggestions I just wanted to get some feedback on my current stock, with a list of fish I'm considering adding.
First the tank is a 75 gallon with a simple wet/dry soon to be updated to a 20 gallon± sump with fuge.
Current stock:
Maroon Clown <1"
True Percula Clown <1"
Blue Velvet Damsel ±1"
Two Blue Devil Damsels ±1"
Blue Hippo Tang ±1.5"
Coral Beauty Angel ±1.5"
Red Linkia Star
Small female Emerald Crab
Blood Red Shrimp
Various Snails and Hermit Crabs
The list of Considered Additions:
(In order or preference)
Flame Angel
One Spot Foxface
Bicolor Blenny
Bicolor pseudochromis
Half Black Angel
The above (of the larger fish) would be purchased in similar size to the existing.
Feedback please, suggestions.
The tank came to life The first week of February 2008, so it is still fairly new.

| two things I notice is that you have two different types of clowns. usually when you do this they will fight with each other. They are young right now so you may not experience any aggression yet, but keep an eye out later as they grow. I wouldn't add the flame angel because having two dwarf angels in that size tank will probably cause some aggression. I would say your other options look good except for the half black angel which again can cause aggression with your coral beauty.

I'd go with the bicolour blenny - will keep your algae in check and is a great addition to the tank! Lots of character!
Psuedo are too aggresive for my liking _________ You will never know whats in my tank as i can only type 15 words |

Red | I have a rule in my tank. One of each. That's it. One angel, one tang, one clown, one blenny, etc. Your clowns will probably start to fight later on as stated earlier. If you add a flame or half-black angel, your CB will war with it. Pseudochromis is a nice lookin genus but really aggressive. The purple pseudochromis has the best disposition, but can still be mean. Also, keep an eye on your linkia star. It requires expert care. I found that out the hard way. As your Velvet Damsel grows, that will be very mean as well and will likely dominate other fish his size. Pretty at the beginning, they become drab and chalk filled with attitude in adulthood. _________ 90g HW: 20g L Sump/Fuge, ETSS PS w/Mag9, Ext OF/Rio 2100 RTN, MJ AC 2K3 PH's (2800GPH ttl flow), 300W htr, Gnd Prb, Denitrator, UV, PCs: 2x65, 4x55 Fish: Ylw Tang, LM Blenny, Hmbg, Ylw-tail, Ylw dmsls, Mrn Clown, Coral Beauty, Red Crs Wrsse. | yeah go w/ blenny. i wouldn't add another angel. and the maroon clown will eventually beat up on the perc.
i just added a striped grouper, that was about to get flushed cause he ate alot of my brother's inhabitants.
he's not big enough to eat any of my fish besides my blenny. keeping my fingers crossed. _________ 75gal hex, 2-40w T12 48", odyssea 48" 4x65w PC's w/ lunars, 50lbs LR, 80lbs LS, gold banded maroon clown, dog faced puffer, juvenile blue angel, 2 dominoes, 1-4 stripe damsel, yellow watchman gobie, lawnmower blenny, mano, purple chromis, striped grouper, mexican turbo, astrea and red foot snails, striped, red and blue legged hermit crabs, coral banded shrimp, white and purple bubble coral(very little), red and green mushrooms, orange gorgonian, candycane Tanks, No Thanks. | I learned the hard way about having two Dwarf Angels in the same tank. I added a Flame and Coral Beauty together. It wasn't two days later that the Flame was constantly chasing and 'nipping' at the Coral Beauty. I took the Flame back to the LFS, because I felt sorry for the CB, the flame was actually the prettiest.. oh well. The CB seem MUCH happier to be the only Angel in my 75gal. |

| See: November Fish of the month: Bicolour Blenny: Ecsenius Bicolor (Jason McKenzie)
(Only other fish you need...except for a Sixline Wrasse - )
Great personality...love to see him perched on favorite observation posts or peaking out of one of two caverns, one high in tank, one low.
Was pretty shy for long time, and rarely spent time out in open. Mostly just flashing between hiding places.
Now swims all over tank, and gets right out there with the rest of fish during feeding frenzy....
Is definitely one of my tank favorites....
Cool, Cool Fish!!! |
