When a shrimp regenerates his skeleton(they have an exterior skeleton) for a newer, brighter one. In simpler terms, when human get a very strong tan, they peal, and new skin under the pealed skin is healthy looking and new. Same thing with the shrimps. They throw away their outside skeleton to a newer skeleton they have grown under, its the way they grow and achieve brighter colors.

It wouldnt have been there before. When the shrimp sheds its exo it is left there and they usually go into hiding for a little while before its new exo has hardened for protection.

correct, im more inclined on itbeing some sort of pod(God let it be a pod!!!) over a shrimp. The rocks were brushed good and washed with new saltwater. But theres always that possibility that it is a shrimp!

Default here's some info for you.

That's gotta be a pod. I have those in my tank, totally normal and it means your tank is doing what it's supposed to be doing. Getting all these wonderful creatures. The first time I saw my copods I freaked. My hubby said oh my god what the *$#@ are those white things all over the glass. I saw these weird bug things and I thought that's it I screwed up something and got some sort of bug in my tank. I then did my research and learned I want these gross looking bugs in my tank! They still gross me out, the way they move.

When I read your thread prior to the pic you posted I was just about to post that there are mantis and pistols that have clear bodies...that is neither of them by the looks of it. You should go on Melevsreef.com - Welcome! and look for visual identification...amazing things you'll learn on that site. It'll give you an idea of what is safe in your reef and what's not. Take a look at this pic, does this look like it?
