Question about Freebies

First the tank, then the questions.
35 Gal Hex, with ~30 lbs of live rock. 6 blue legged hermits, sand sifting star, small queen conch, 2 pine cushion urchins, coral banded shrimp, sally lightfoot crab, maroon clown, and a rusty angel.
I have 1 Whisper 30 and 1 Whisper 20 on the tank now. I will remove the 20 when I get the skimmer.

Two of my friends have given me some freebies. One is a Prizm Deluxe skimmer, and the other is a Sealife Systems 100 Wet/Dry.
Since the tank is hex, I am going to build a cabinet next to the tank to house the wet/dry.
Now on to my questions.
1) What size/manufacturer prefilter box do I need? The an not going to be drilling this running tank, so that is out of the question..
2) There is no return pump, so again size/manufacturer should I get?
Right now I am keeping it a FOWLR/critter tank, but my upgrade the lighting to do a bubble tip anemones. Do I really need this much of a setup? I understand "mo is better", and I do want to add another fish, or so....

I use CPR overflow boxes on my tanks, not sure on exact size. For a return pump i like to use the Quiet One pumps. The smallest they sell is the model 1200 which puts out 296 GPH and that would turn your tank over 8 times an hour with 6 feet max head.

I would sell that tank and buy a rectangle.. the hex is not the greatest shape for a number of reasons. Even a 29 would be better

A prefilter rated at 600 gph would be what you want.

A 'Quite One' pump would work as suggested.

I have a 317 gph) pump in my setup. It's a great quite pump but a little pricey. An Ocean Runner pump (2700?) is another good alternative.
