| Any chance you could pluck one out and take a picture? If they are pyramids I wouldn't worry about them much seeing as you have no clams but if you plan on getting any clams in the near future, I'd be concerned. Hopefully we can get a positive id on them if you can get a pic. |

| I just lost a Squamosa that I bought at the Puppy Center, where I live. I bought the Tridacna two days ago and it lasted a day before I found the snail up around the incurrent syphon. You have to keep an eye out for these predatory snails that can wreck havoc on clams etc.!!!!!! _________ 125gal.w/Mag9.5 return(dual megaflow)>Mag7 pump Aqua Cev180skimmer.Wave2k Hamilton Reefstar(2)250watthqi(mh)pend.a Yellow, Naso Tang Red Lip Blenny Percula Clown Demoiselles Niger Trigger F. | Well there is little I ever saw there I'd buy and a clam is one thing I'm very particular about who and where i get them from. If I ever took a clam from a place I was not sure of I always freshwater dip them first a good habit to get into.. You might want to try it sometime .. Latley only place Up here I'd buy a clam from is the Guy at Just Phish J.P .. Otherwise I'd have them sent up from home. _________ Some of the world's greatest feats were accomplished by people not smart enough to know they were impossible (Doug Larson) |

| Annik,
I was just there to buy (4) coral frags!!!The thing is I think the problem was in my tank as I have seen them occassionally from time to time. The thing is, is I have had a Maxima, Squamosa and a Crocea in my tank for a long time now and have never seen them around my Tridacna's. However when I see them I take them out as they are bad news!
By the way I bought a nice Acropora as well as a Pockerstar, Rainbow and a beautiful blue montipora with blue polyps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

| How large is it. If it's no bigger than a grain of rice and it's pure white, chances are you have them. There is also a kind that only preys on snails and not clams so they can hitch a ride on snails as well. |

| They look white and are small but I have no clams and I won't add one as I don't have the correct lighting. I removed the little purple one I found but I have only seen one or two little white snails and they only seem to hang out on the LR never seen them on any of my other snails. I don't think I could get a pic of them as they are small and would never get a good pic with my camera. The next time I see one I am removing it and I'll try to get a pic. I only see them very rarely. |

However, that being said, I know have a nice assortment of expensive and semi-rare Montipora.
I want to get a nice piece of green montipora with blue rim that Joe also has downstairs(Capricornis). He will be getting more in, he said continuously now from a local distributor. He has some nice pieces in one of the tanks up stairs that he hasn't fragged yet!!!!! |
