| Pretty Pictures (clownfish + tank update) I just wanted to update all you nice people here on my progress on my new 29g. 7-8 wks from initial setup, at 5 wks, cleaner crew added, nitrates :0.3, now it has been almost 8 wks and my nitrates :0. I figured it was about time to add some fish and my most obvious choice for me as a beginner was the Ocellaris Clownfish. Calcium is a little low but I won't add any chemicals because it is only at 430 which isn't extremely deficient. If it declines further I plan on adding liquid ca++ or kalkwasser.
My only tank inhabitants are: 4 turbo and 2 trochea snails, 2 scarlet-leg and 1 mexican reef hermit crabs, lots of bristleworms & brittlestars, a Kenya Tree Coral and now 1 Anemone and 2 clowns! Oh BTW, its a MH light and lots of flow from the Korillia 2, algae may look bad, but it was actually much worse 2-4 weeks ago!
Any comments or questions or concerns are appreciated, thank you.

Reason: "true clownfish" turned out to be actually "false" or ocellaris

| thanks for the nice comments! Here is a pic of my Long Tentacle Anemone sleeping.... he sure bunched up and got all nice and cozy last night, I hope everything goes well while I am away for a couple days. I am going to put my light on a limited timer while away (<2 hrs/ day) but only for 2-3 days. |

| what are you running for lights? your clowns and anenome look nice I have fought algea like that but it was always from to much white/yellow light or old bulbs. I would find some atinic t5s and run them for a few hours instead of running your other light all day. |
