I just got it so it is a new bulb, 10K 400w MH. yeah actinics would really be nice and bring out the 'green' tint of the anemone, but i will have to upgrade that sometime later ($). My tank is somewhat new, (10wks) and the algae problem used to be muccch worse.. The green hairs used to be covering all sides of the glass! But I have been letting the problem correct itself (with a little coaxing here and there) and now there is only a few patches left. Also, I used to have a KH of 5 which really spurred on the algae bloom, so after adding buffer much of the green hair algae turned white and dyed (thanks 2 Tangster's great advice). So even though my light is extremely intense, my LTA loves it, and all of you here at 3Reef have been invaluable in making my reef aquarium healthy!
