Hey, I always like to look for hitchikers too
It looks like a small hermit crab with red and blue striped legs, Should be ok. Most of mine don't bother anything and the other looks like some sort of a mushroom. Easy to take care of. Moderate lighting and low flow demands. Enjoy.

Jim

Ok here goes.

The hermit is a Caribbean Equal-handed Hermit Crab otherwise known as the Clibanarius Tricolor. They are great little guys...but like all hermits they dont live that long. Only gets 1.2ins big.

Thank you. You are correct. I looked it up. He is a cute little guy. I went out and got him some assorted shells so he will leave my snails alone. Thanks again for the helpful information.

The shrooms are Actinodiscus=discosoma. As Jim stated low to moderate lighting and low water movement. On e word of caution with the placement of corals in proximity to the mushrooms. The mushrooms like anemones will sting and possibly kill neighboring corals. Take it from me as it happened to me first hand!!!
