overflow box

does anybody have any advice on how to reduce to noise (gurgling) from an overflow box-
most of the noise seems to originate from the box outside the top of the tank (not the one inside the tank)
Any help would be much appreciated-

I think you can buy them as well but you will pay much more that if you made one...it's an easy project..
