you need to remenber that 8g does not leave much room for swings in your water paremiters,temps and so forth, I would suggest also that you keep up the reserch into what you might like in your tank , go down to your lfs and just look, ask a few questions and take some notes, dont rush into anythink after you have a look around get online and look for info on what you want to keep. dont just take the opinion of the first person you talk too,

I have a 5.5 with 1 cleaner shrimp.. I'm skipping a fish for now, maybe a small goby in the longrun.. I have 48 watts over my 5.5 gallon tank.... Up for about a month, going through a algae bloom now...

ok went down to the lfs this afternoon got info on life forms for the tank. cleaner shrimp, couple of snails, starfish, couple of crabs and maybe a common clown or two. Oh and now my ph is too high HELP
