| New To Salt, 50 GAL To big? Help Please.. Hey i've just got a new tank its 50 GAL and i dont want fresh and love salt so i was hoping to get any help at all with this. Is 50 to big for just starting out? Like i dont know how many fish i can even put in it, or when to even put them in  . Im just a big mess with this somone help, thanks   . oh and how do i clean the poop and the water? so i just buy one of those shrips to eat everything? and the water????

| 50 gal is perfect
cycle the tank first. read and research a lot here first.
add fish slow
# of fish depends on how big and how much they poop and fight with each other. _________ |

| Hey Regf! You made it!  There is just too much involved with reef keeping, so much so, that one email wouldn't have helped you at all. Yep, you've got a long way to go. Like the others have said, Read everything you can get your hands on! All the links Omard gave you are a good start, then if you don't understand something...ask!! We're here to help! I have a 55 and learn new stuff about it everyday! Welcome to 3reef!
oh and a 50(?) is not too big. 1k gal would be too big for a newbie |
