Default New Ric frags on the way

Please cut me some slack as I'm a total noob here and have a couple questions. I ordered a couple ricordia polyls from reeftopia, a single green ricordia and a double nuclei Orange ricordia, the site says "polyps have no shell or rock base however, will attach easily to rock or oyster shell. I also ordered a couple of coraline covered jewelbox oyster halves. My question is do I need to attach these myself? and if so how? Or do I just put them in the tank on the live rock, these are my first polyps and any info would be greatly appreciated. Also if I am doing the attaching myself, do I do it in a bowl of water after acclimation? Details would extremely helpfull as the shipment will be here via fed-ex in the morning. I know I've come to the right place after many days of reading here! This is the tank they will go in until the 28 g nano is ready.

i think that all you need to do is put the polyps on a shell where there is little or no flow and they will attach themselves, then you put them where you want.

I just glue mine with some ca glue (crazy glue). They do attach by themselves to the rock or whatever but mine float away once the flow hits them.

They will attach themselves...They can be a bit more finnicky then other mushrooms..They prefer low to moderate light and low flow....

They should like aquaboy said, just give them time to attach themselves and out of the flow. Luna

Default new rics

Thanks to everyone for the advice, I'll turn off one of the powerheads and give them time to do their thing. I'm hopin they will attach pretty quick, should I put near the bottom, mid level or up high to start?
