Unhappy New: Question about setting up a new tank, sump\filter\refu\skimmer\pump ect...

I got a 70gal tank and want to create a marine setup. I just got a skimmer. My question is what do i need buy to setup a sump\wet dry filter\refugem\overflow\skimmer setup?

I know about the parts themselves, but i dont know how they work togeather and what parts to get. I hear about extra stuff like pumps and hoses. but how do i know what to buy?

I bought this skimmer, its says it has everything i need to run it:
eBay: ODYSSEA PS75 Protein Skimmer,FREE 240gph Powerhead JEBO (item 300015764200 end time Aug-18-06 14:23:41 PDT)

I am thinking about buying this sump, but i dont know what else i will need to make it work with what i got:
eBay: MegaPro Refugium Sump kit wet dry filter aquarium (item 300017052531 end time Aug-19-06 07:51:53 PDT)
Can i make the sump into a wet dry filter and refuguim too? how? what do i need to add to this setup?

As far as my understanding, i am going to need a overflowtank, that will drop water into the sump, and i will need somekind of pump and hose to pump the water back into the tank, but thats all i know. what do i need to make it a wet dry filter and refuguim (inbetween). i'm pretty sure i can just put the skimmer into the sump without adding anything else to it.. O.k., im a dummy, please, it would probably be easier to just explain the whole process to me in dummy terms . from the begining, metioning every part (product that the system goes through. also, if i get all this, i wont neet anything else for filtering do i? and also, do i need a airator for the tank still with all this stuff?

Thanx in advance for any help.

i would love to help you but i don't have a sump, refugium, or overflow. these are not necessary to run a marine tank. what type of saltwater tank are you planning on. Some people only run a hang on back skimmer, liverock. filter. you need powerheads for flow, liverock for biological filteration, substrate, lighting(depends on what you want in the tank), test kits, heater, hydrometer, ground probe. there are many toys you can get but get what you need and go slow. do ALOT of home work. saltwater tanks require: studying, patience, dedication, and time. don't go too fast. other people may be able to help u with the other questions you have.

OK, i have a 70 gallon tank i want to create a FOWLR. I have a fluva 210 canister, which is only good for 50 gallons. i have a 40watt aqua florecent light 48". I am going to buy some live sand, about 90lbs. the skimmer i just bought, is also a hang on. what kinda power head should i get? i was thinking that im gonna buy a red sea marine test kit. i have a 150watt heater what is a good price for a hydrometer, can i just get a cheap one? and whats a ground probe do? I have been reading article and tips for days now. so i have some understanding. I just figured that if i get a sump and use it for wet dry filter, refugium, and skimmer, i would have less work to do as far as keeping the tank healthy. I really dont wanna start and then run into some big nagging problem. If i can get away with it, then i would just run the skimmer and the fluva 210 canister filter and buy some live rocks and sand. would i have to do a DBS setup? or would it be easier to buy a sump?
