| Re: New to hobby My opinion is to get rid of the Wet/Dry Filter and just build a sump. I only use a Hang On Refugium, Three Power Heads, and a Hang on Protein Skimmer, I sadly do not have a Sump. Let the Live Rock do the work.

| Re: New to hobby I recommend filling the chamber with good LR rubble in place of the bioballs. Will be a pod hotel in no time! I only run carbon as needed as it can strip the water of needed trace elements.

| Re: New to hobby When your water is yellow and needs to be polished or when you think there may be chemical warfare being practiced by your soft corals - mushrooms, polyps, leathers. |

| Re: New to hobby Tissue recission, polyps (if applicable) not extending, etc.
Chemical warfare is soft corals only defense so they protect their little piece of the reef by sending out chemicals to try and keep other corals from encroaching on THEIR territory. _________ Curt |

| Re: New to hobby Yes they are pretty nasty toxins and can if you have an allergy to them be harmful to you. Always wear gloves when working in your tank and in addition to gloves, protective eye wear when fragging. Palytoxins can be as dangerous as snake bites. |
