New coral question

    Okay well I was going to go buy that toadstool today, but the rock it was on was like 13 inch huge gigantor rock and wouldnt fit in my tank.
    So instad I got another coral the guy didnt know the name of.

    Anybody know what this is? I got this for $15

    zoas. the common name will vary.

    look like palys. but so many variations, i dont know the name. but very cool looking

    yeah im not sure what type this is, I think its zoa, and I think it was pretty cheap. Theres like +30 polyps in there

    $.50 a polyp sounds pretty good to me. congrats.

    so i hear they are poisonus lol, that has me paranoid now..also anybody thinks they have the answer to the what kid they might be?

    Looks like palys,will spread quickly given good conditions so be sure to give them room if they're near somthing you don't want them infringing on.

    so what I got is Palythoas? any idea what type of Palythoas?

    They appear to be Brown Button Polyps. Say, I would have asked the LFS to get a hammer chisel and break that rock in half so you could get the coral you wanted.

    I don't get into the various naming of color morphs. Those are not Palythoa toxica nor Palythoa grandis which are the ones with the most palytoxin.
