Default my new 90

I've got a 55 gallon up and running, I just bought it from a guy on CL for cheap. Its got about 40 lbs of LR and 3 inches of crushed coral for a substrate.
This weekend we are buying a 90 gallon and want to eventually build it into a wall downstairs.
What are some steps to make the transition easy...
1. should i buy LR now and cure it? or make my own and cure it?
2. is crushed coral bad? or should i switch to sand?
3. i just made a 30 gallon sump, should i hook up the sump now to get it started?
4. Should i purchase the pump for the return at like 700 gph and run it in my sump now w/ just a T valve and a return going into the intake so it doesn't burn out?

I'm just brainstorming, i'm not sure when the basement will be finished, but I dont want to have to wait 3 months once its finished to move one tank.

I'd wait it out.

If you plan on moving the 40lbs of LR form your 55 to your 90. then you may want to get some more rock curing now.

If you upgrading to a 90G why not go for a 120G

Theres a person on CL selling it. Its got the same 4 ft foot print i wanted for building into a short wall downstairs...
Trust me, if the right deal came along for a 120 I'd be on that. We're getting the 90 for 80 on Saturday, so thats pretty solid and it holds water

What is the difference in tank dimensions between the 90 and the 120 ? This would dictate the cost and size of the lighting required.
