Default looks sinister...

I fear that there is something bad in my new LR. I just got it 2 days ago. Yesterday I saw something about 1" long with a tube shaped body and one end has little tentacle like things about 1/4" across. It came out of one piece of LR and floated to another where it crawled around and has been there since.

I'm new to the creatures aspect of saltwater and I don't have a good knowledge yet of the corals and inverts that I might find in the tank. The live rock was aqua cultured of the coast of Florida if that helps at all.

Any help would be great
Thanks.

Both pictures are of the same thing. Just different lighting and focus (hard to focus up close w/o a macro lens)

Do you mean a mantis shrimp? because it's defiantly not shrimp like. I watched as it came out of a small tube/hole in the LR and it's kind of like a 1"long worm with an anemone on one end.

I dont see how you call mantis...if anything it looks like some form of feather duster tube, the end looks similar to my hawaiian buggers. Though peanut worm is also viable.
