New 30 gallon aquarium. We mixed the salt and water in the tank first then added 30 pounds of live sand (CaribSea). Tank is very cloudy after 24hrs with filter running. Will it ever clear? Did we do it wrong? What can we do now?

Completely Normal! give it another day or two it will settle! if you have any powerheads running, turn them off, just keep your filtration going

you did nothing wrong, may take a day or 2 or more to completley clear. Just give it time and you will see it happening.

There's usually a packet(of something) in the bag of sand to help clear it up quicker. I've never used it. Give it time and it will clear up

As everyone else has said, it will just take time. What kind of filter are you using? Also be sure to clean it a lot the first few days. :)

I made sure my water was clear before adding my sand and it still took 4 days for it to clear. I was adding LR blindly! You are fine just wait!! Be patient....that is what this hobby is all about!!

Mine cleared up overnight. I put all the sand down and how I thought I liked it and put the bag on top of the sand. I then lightly poured the water onto the bag and it didn't stir it up that bad.

Or another way...if not same as above...

Is slit one end of sand bag. Then put entire bag into tank.

Once on bottom, lift one corner of bag and pour sand directly from bag onto bottom surface where you want the sand.

Will cloud some, but is minimal and usually disappears after hour or so...
