some one i know told me you could get live rock that goes in freshwater. is this true. ive never heard tht you could before. if you can please advise on it

ive heard of using concrete blocks in f/w never done it though logs look better

i was just asking the same thing and it's a no go i was going to put some in my freshwater tank was thing it would act as a biological filter like how it would in saltwater

First off what do you consider L/R ? and yes you can use lime base rock in many types of F/W fish tanks..There are some that require the same water parameters as any marine fish does just no salt. All rock in any type of aquarium becomes live rock as does the sand or gravel on the bottom it all gets alive at some point.

true i know there's a lot of rock you can put in freshwater but i think oliesminis was talking about saltwater liverock i have to say if saltwater live rock that was cure would look nice and show the tank nice just like in saltwater but when you want that nice saltwater look then just do the real thing i did i was big freshwater for year's now i'll never go bad saltwater is where it's at but i would have to say 90% of as did freshwater at frist
