I have xenia frags and heard from someone that supplementing iodide helps them pulse? Should I get a good supplement for trace elements and if so do I test the trace elements....would adding kents coral accel be good?

There are two answers to that. Yes and No.
You will hear both from people who post here regularly.
My answer is, don't add it unless you need it

And if you ever add any supplements always make sure to get a test kit as well so you don't overdose.

I'll second what jtReef has said, if you choose to dose, test! I dose both with C-Balance and Iodine on a weekly basis.

I've been looking as an automatic dosing pump to move to a 2x daily bump vs. weekly. Quite spendy for a 100 gallon system....

With your coral load, water changes should provide enough of the supplements that you need for your corals.

If you MUST add supplements, I would recommend Kent's Essential Elements. It has just about everything you need in there for corals, excluding calcium and buffer. If you add it sparingly, you shouldn't have to but tests for what the supplement is adding. For your tank, I would halve the recommended dosage that is recommended on the bottle.

I raise the pom pom xenia for resale through an LFS.
It pulses like crazy, and, I have never in my 13 years in the hobby, added Iodine or any of it's forms to my tanks. (that goes for other trace elements also)

Its always good to add iodine when when you propagate soft corals, it makes the healing process go a lot quicker. Iodine is in salt, but protein skimmers remove it along with trace elements etc. I dose twice a week kents marine essential element, plus xtra kents marine iodine and purple up. ammonia/nitrites/nitrates are always zero and my calcium stays at 450ppm
