Default I have Red Slime Help

I have red slime that I can't get rid of. It's all over the rocks and sand. I've been using Chemiclean Red Slime Remover, but it keeps returning:mad:

Have u tried stirring up your gravel and using a brush to get it off the rocks? I have not had red algae but have done it with green algae on rocks. Just a though.

Cut back on your feeding...I get that at times and I know it is because of my feeding as sometimes I feed too much(brain freeze)!!!!!!!

Yep keep up the treatment and cut back the feedings , vaccum any thick clumps- this should take care of your problems!

test your nitrates and your phosphates. do a good size waterchange while your doing it sphion out all the algea you can I use a toothbrush and a 3/8 hose to clean off the rockwork. Lower your feedings which will help keep your nitrates and phosphates down, If the waterchange doesnt drop the nitrate and the phosphate low enough and the algea reoccurs try running nitrate & phosphate removal media . Make sure the media is in a flow through canister/reactor

sounds like I'm feeding too much. My wife always said if I like something I feed it, Sandy my dog is fat, Tank my cat is fat, my fish are fat, and my wife is a nice size and I love her

Fish - Formula One Flake food in the AM
Frozen Emerald Entree for omnivores , green marine alge, brine shrimp in the afternoon

Ya it cool Asia soup mix has squid, shrimp, mussel and something else.
Better for fish because it human grade, check it out its all raw too.
