| The blue hippo is going to be a problem, I think, unless you introduce it at night with lights off. The mandarin is better suited for a seasoned tank, at least one yr old. Is this going to be a fowlr tank or a reef? _________ 9YR OLD 90G/55g custom sump/refug Mag18 Aquac 180skimmer 692w MH AC jr,yel&kole tang, midas&convict blenny,B&G chromies,Blk/yel fin chromie blackcap, nemo, neon goby,6line; Blastomussa Merleti,Acan ,BUBBLE,Torch,LTA, Acropora(2) Moon, assort zoas, yel& G star polyps, P&B ricordia, montiporas, cup&candy corals, xenias,B/G mush, flower ane(2), cherry red mussa, dusters, cleaning crew.. |

| maybe my tank is abnormal however i haev 4 tangs in a 72 a hippo, yellow, kole and a naso they are all small and get along great i know one day they will outgrow the tank but by then i will have a bigger one to move them into. what i have been told and tread is that as long as the tangs are og different body types they will be ok however yellow and purple seem to be more aggressive.
my koel and yellow fought for the fisrt day and now they seem to be ok together. take it for whjat it is worth.

| I have a Yellow and a Hippo, the Yellow is def meaner and will prolly pick at the Hippo at least for a bit. Hippo's like to hide so I think if you make sure there are lot's of caves and hiding spots for it to retreat to they will work it out. My Yellow tries to pick on the hippo occasionally, but my hippo's pretty tough and easily get's rid of the yellow!

| It's too soon to add the blue tang, for the bioload reason of course.
The yellow tang should go in last...i.e. at least a few more months from now, since it will most likely be the most agressive. That also depends on size.
If the YTang is 2" and in May you add a 4" Blue Tang, (and re-arrange the rocks, acclimate to the tank at night with the lights off, etc...) then the blue tang may be able to "stand-up" better to the YTang. SIZE DOES MATTER!
Be ready for an Ich outbreak, since the Blue tang will definitely be stressed out with a yellow tang in there, at least for the first few weeks I'd imagine.
Your skimmer is probably too small for 2 big tangs (plus your other planned fish) that will eat tons of seaweed and poop a lot.
Not sure if you really want the flame angel or coral beauty for a reef tank. They aren't as likely to nip at small polyp corals as larger angelfish, but some might... _________ |

| Welcome to 3reef!
I would be careful with what some stores tell you, remember they are running a business. My friend went to the store the other day (in Miami) and they told him things I just could not believe. So read up on all the information you can from here so you can make wise decisions.
I would wait on the blue hippo. Give tank time to adjust to the yellow tang first. _________ 90 gallon tank with center overflows, 44 gallon custom sump/fuge, Tek T5 retrofit 4x54 bulbs, Reef Octopus nw200 protein skimmer, Iwaki WMD40RLXT return pump (changed to panworld 100pxx),Knop c ca reactor, PA light house controller. | Adding more than one dwarf angelfish to a tank is a big no-no. They most likely won't tolerate each other. |
